RedGage Tutorial: Profiles
Your profile page is your new home on RedGage. You can view and edit your content, status updates, collections, and any information posted on your profile.
The most exciting part of your RedGage profile is your Total Earnings box. This profit represents the total amount of money you have made so far. As people view your work, you can watch your money ticker increase! On each content page, the amount of money represents the earnings for just that piece of content. On your own profile, you will see icons for:
Edit Profile- change profile information, hobbies, photo, etc.
Network- view or remove friends, favorites, subscriptions, subscribers
Content- view, edit, remove content
Collections- view, edit, add, removie collections
The main box on your profile page will display a variety of tabs that let you view your own feed (your personal activity on RedGage), blogs, photos, videos, documents, links, or comments you have made. Any of your content on RedGage will be listed under the tabs by content type. Content can also be viewed and organized under your Collections. Any content that has not moved into a collection (or imported as a collection) will be listed under your 'Default Collection'. Above the main content box, you can view and edit your status. To learn more about what status updates are used for, check out the Status Tutorial. The URL for your profile will always be www.RedGage.com/YOUR-USERNAME (ex: www.RedGage.com/RGHelp). So it is easy to remember and share with friends!
On any profile page, you will see 'Add Friend' or 'Add Subscription' buttons over the profile page. This will add that user's activity to your dashboard feed. If you are already friends with that user, the button will say 'Remove Friend' instead and you can choose this action at any tiem as well. A wall post is also part of a RedGage profile. Send a post to a RedGage friend or interact with your network by writing on someone's wall.
Use the 'Message' button under the profile picture to contact a user or click the 'RSS Feed' to follow someone's material! If you have any favorites, subscriptions, or friends they will be listed under the profile photo. Only the first eight will be displayed, but you can click 'View All' for a full list.
How do you start or edit your profile?
On your own profile, you will see icons for editing your profile, your network, your content, and your collections. Once you click on Edit Profile you will see the Basic Information tab. Whether or not you choose to enter any of this information is your decision. None of it is a requirement, but feel free to add any details about your self that you would like posted. Use the Contact, Personal, Education, Work, and Picture tabs to include any details or a photo of yourself. You can edit your profile information or picture at any time.
How do you edit or remove content?
The content icon (above your profile photo) will lead you to a list of any material you have uploaded or imported to RedGage. If you ever need to edit or remove any of your content, you can use this list or use the 'Edit' buttons above your content on that specific page.
How do I remove friends, favorites, subscriptions, or subscribers?
The Network icon will take you to a list of your friends, favorites, subscriptions, or subscribers . You can view or remove any RedGage user that is in your network through this list or by clicking the 'Remove User' button above that friend's profile picture.
