RedGage Tutorial: Status
Status Updates are now part of your profile. Let us know what you are up to or what you are thinking! Through your status, you can now let your friends know what you are doing.
Here are some status examples, for those of you who are thinking ‘Why would I do this?’
Some people use their status for the following…
Let us know where they are:
Ex: ‘jgsuarez is at the karaoke bar using the wireless microphone’
Let us know how they feel:
Ex: ‘eahauser is anxious from Florida drivers on the highway’
Let us know what they are creating:
Ex: ‘jgsuarez just made a pink graffiti gorilla in photoshop’
Let us know what they are doing:
Ex: ‘eahauser is eating sushi for the third time this week’
Let us know what they are into:
Ex: ‘jgsuarez is listening to ‘Beep Beep’
Let us know where their work is posted (with a link):
Ex: ‘eahauser just uploaded a new portrait www.redgage.com/eahauser’
Or just any ‘shout out’:
Ex: ‘Happy April Fools Day, RedGagers!’ or ‘Please comment on my videos, I need some editing feedback’ or ‘Does anyone have any advice for someone who is new to lomography?’
You can edit your status right on your profile in the upper left-hand side of the page. The ‘History’ link will bring you to that user’s previous status updates. If you want to ONLY view your friends' status updates, you can click on the blue bubble icon. The 'Status' icon will filter out only updates from your news feed.
