My birthday is this week and that auspicious anniversary is crowned this year by my driver’s license needing to be renewed. Oh, joy!!! Actually it was purely by chance that I even discovered my license was about to expire. I am used to driver’s licenses lasting five years; oh but not here in my new state of residence…you only get four! I
Almost Like Stock Show Weather... [ Republished from my blog Talking Across The Fence ] Tonight is our first sub-zero night this winter here in Tahoe. It is 4 below outside and 60 inside. I have opted for a heavy sweater tonight instead of cranking up the fire. This will be my fifth Tahoe winter, and I have been enjoying them for the most part ... well, except for shoveling the Sierra Cement (as the heavy wet snow in Tahoe is known). Tahoe winters are ... well ... almost balmy and tropical! Comi
