About Me
Sheila Newton lives in the North East of England with her husband and two cats. She acquired an RGN and a degree in Education throughout her nursing and teaching careers. Since 2010, when she caught the creative writing bug, she has been published with the small press magazine, Debut, and has won two honourable mention prizes with Writers Weeklys 24 hour writing competition. She won first prize in an about writing competition for Fan Story and has had three of her articles published on Flash Fiction Chronicles. Twice short-listed in the WOW Women on Writing short story competitions and once with Chapman publishing, she has recently had a micro-fiction story published with Every Day Fiction. Around 50 of her articles and short stories have been published online. An avid reader, walker, blogger and blues/soul addict, Sheila blogs her travels for North East Life online: she also blogs for a local blues/rock band.
