About Me

I try to keep my life simple, consumerism is not on my agenda. Politically speaking I would say I am middle of the road. In other words I suppose, my parents scream in horror at my liberal leanings, and liberals think I am too capitalistic. Oh well, sometimes you cant please anyone. I tend to be pretty tolerant of other beliefs, or lack thereof, but have little appreciation for those who are too self-righteous. I tend to be fairly introspective and have been known, on occasion, to change my mind about something.

My Interests

My life long interests have included reading just about anything I can get my hands on, although admittedly, since becoming involved in the online thing, I seldom pick up a book. I guess that is the price you pay! In addition, I love hiking, bicycling, travel, gardening, and cooking.

Other Miscellaneous Stuff

I am not a mommy, except to three abandoned cats. But be warned, you may see their faces crop up here from time to time. I do volunteer work, as well as a bit of consulting in management still, but my primary interest currently is learning more about the internet and its potential.

Work

I worked in healthcare for 25 years. Primarily I worked with adult rehabilitation following traumatic brain injury and neurological disease. I actually spent the majority of my time in management and a few years in directing a research and education program.
