Mice in my bed
| A while ago we noticed how weird my cat was acting in the kitchen. She would spend hours sitting on the counter just staring at the stove. Every night she would do this and we couldn't very well tell why. There was something in the stove, or at least my cat thought there was. A few days later my sister goes over to burn something and sees a little mouse run into the stove plate. There are mice living in my stove. In the kitchen really. After wards I saw my cat sitting on the floor staring at the small space under the cabinets trying to get her fat paw under. So there was mice in the kitchen, surely the cat was well aware of it and would take care of the problem as soon as the chance came. Last night I was typing away at my computer in the dark while my mom tried to sleep in the bed behind me. Suddenly she wakes and starts yelling "what's your problem? What is it?" I turned to see the cat on the bed who must have been poking around or attacking the sheets on top of my mom when suddenly I see a little mouse run over my pillow and jump to the floor. I stared in shock until I managed enough to tell my mom what the cat was doing. Diana was still poking around at the bed sheets trying to find the mouse that was now hiding in the boxes and junk on my floor. Great. Now there was a mouse in my room. Hopefully my cat would take care of it so after a while I went to bed. The cat finally settled down with us. I was about to fall asleep when suddenly the cat jumps off the bed kicking me and sat in front of the computer desk staring at the space below. Great, now there was a mouse under my computer desk! Finally I feel asleep.I woke up in the morning and the first thing I saw was my cat seated next to my head with a mouse in her paw. I jumped up and grabbed the nearest cup I could find and cought the mouse. It was still alive. As I looked for a piece of card board to put under the cup I noticed that it was 8 in the morning. I only had three hours of sleep, I normally wake up at 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Somehow the cat and the mouse managed to wake me up.I picked up the little mouse and brought it into the kitchen where I put it on the table. I didn't know what to do with it. Normally cats kill the mouse and the only thing left to do is to throw it away. But there I was with a cute little mouse in a red plastic cut sitting and staring back at me. It's little right paw lifted, hurt. I couldn't just throw it out the door, because it might come right back in. And it was far too early and cold for me to climb all the way to the first floor and throw it out of the building. And I couldn't very well just leave the little mouse in the cup. The cat might came back while we slept and let it loose into the apartment again.I changed the cup to a cheap little paper one before I woke my mom up. She might have a heart attack to find one of our good cups being used on the little thing. She came over and took the roll of tape off the cup that was holding it down and the little gray tale poked out. She asked me what to do with it. I didn't know! She wanted me to throw it out the window. I didn't want to, I have no idea if the little mouse would survive a four story drop. My mom did it anyways. Matt wants me to give me the next one that gets cought. On friday he finally got to meet my friends. We drove around like idoits all over the city and ended the day by watching Princess Bride at her house. They approved of him. They got along. I got a call while over there about how one of the cashiers was sick and they wanted me to cover for him. At least that's what my sister said because when I got there the other cashier was taking over. No changes were made on my side yet since I was already there boss made me stay and work. Didn't have a good day. Work sucks. Monday we went out to do nothing. The mall closed earlier then they thought so we only had enough time in there for me to force feed my boyfriend some tacos. Boy needs to eat, damn it. Then we went over to a random Toys R us so that I could poke the star wars figures and they the rest of the store. I got me the other comic book pack with Leia and the mando completing that part of my wish list. No sucba trooper though, I really want that dude. Decided to get someone's chrismas gift while I was there. Once we had left the place I wanted to poke around at the video game to see what it was all about to find that the sticker seal was already open. When I looked inside there was no CDs. I'm having that taken care of. Hopefully they will give me the damn video game I paid sixty dollars for and not give me some bullshit that we took it out ourselves. The worse part is that the game case was in one of those pastic boxes that have to be removed at the register so the person who took it out was a worker there.Today an old firend visited by. I havn't seen her in years. My mom hates her. It seems nothing but her boob size has changed. Her and my sister were going over to another firend's house of whom I hadn't seen in a while either nor have I ever the chance to visit their home or see their new baby. So I quickly got dressed and went over with them. Didn't help the fact my sister kept rushing me. She can be very selfish. Just because mother is bother HER we have to rush our asses.Fun times. Cute baby. Little Beto got bigger. Their kids are growing up rather nicely. It always upsets me to see unintelligent kids or misbehaved ones. Those two are just great. Played guitar hero. Isn't so hard if you lay the thing on your lap and play the buttons like a keyboard rather then held in my tiny hands in the air.I haven't been drawing much. Not enough energy I suppose. No offers on the freelance side yet. Money always motivates me.I finally got to get some old film developed. Took some shots at the Big Apple con from summer. I ran around every where trying to find a place that would scan the film onto a cd at a high resolution. At one point I just gave up and found a little place that was willing to only develop the film and leave it in a role, no prints, no cuts, no cd. Just film. While I am able to scan it at home the resolution is far too small but at least I'm able to make a contact sheet and see what I have. While wondering arounf after wards I found a little photo studio. Very pro place indeed. I will have to go back there next week when I have my filn. Lucky me that I will get my film uncut because the studio will be able to just feed it in their uber speical film scanner. Might cost some but these images will come out rather large from something so small. I only really need one shot, the problem is I don't know what roll it's in. The rest I will need to look at and see if any in there are great and can be scanned. Truthfully it was my first time with the manual digital camera and it's so much more harder to understand then a simple manual camera. Iso, speed, and apeture is all I need to know, why the hell do these damn digital film camera make life so hard? If I could I would just stick with old rusty, but the tape is starting to peel off and for some reason it cuts up my film as it rolls along inside. Either I need to learn how to use the digital one better or buy a new manual camera. Need to refreashen my skills. Need to take more pictures now that I have the money for film and stuff. Frankly though nothing I can do now will make up for the smell of chemicals, the dark red room and being able to develop my own film like in my old photography class. But normal subjects bore me. I like taking pictures of stuff no one has taken picture of before. Apples? No. People in costumes, yes. There are the things in my room, I can give a go at. -Pam Maz |
