Dancing with the Stars Week 5 is All About The Hair

Well the judges (Len really) were a lot nicer this week. In fact, they seemed over-generous in a number of ways. There were a number of mistakes that seemed to be ignored. (The evening's biggest mistake, Samantha's hair, was not ignored on Twitter.)
Two people were sick. Derek Hough had to give up dancing duties to Maks, who only had two and a half days to practice a routine with Joanna. Mark Ballas was also ill and Anna Trebunskaya practised with Melissa for a day. She gave some tips from a woman's point of view, which seemed to be mainly stick your breasts out.
As well as the individual dances, there was also a group dance (choreographed by Corky Ballas) to The Hustle, where the men wore 70s style hairpieces. Perhaps that's where Samantha got confused?
Natalie Coughlin & Alec Mazo - Paso Doble - 22. Good technique, no passion.
Aaron Carter & Karina Smirnoff - Argentine Tango - 24. Much better than last week, but a little generous on the scoring side.
Michael Irvin & Anna Demidova - Paso Doble - 21. Michael keeps getting better every week. This time, he placed a nickel between his buttocks to help wtih posture. I wonder if he's found it yet?
Mya & Dmitry Chaplin - Argentine Tango - 27. Great performance, nitpicking judges, best dancer.
Mark Dacascos & Lacey Schwimmer - Paso Doble - 26. Good performance, high on technique (as always) but also starting to show some (natural) emotion.
Donny Osmond & Kym Johnson - Argentine Tango - 29. Great performance, didn't deserve any 10s.
Louie Vito & Chelsie Hightower - Argentine Tango - 22. A much more precise performance this week. Len was pleased.
Melissa Joan Hart & Mark Ballas - Argentine Tango - 23. Scored 1 point less than Aaron, but danced better. Go figure.
Kelly Osbourne & Louis Van Amstel - Paso Doble - 24. Kelly danced to one of her dad's songs, Crazy Train. Good performance, but the nervousness was still there.
Joanna Krupa & Derek Hough (it was Maks this week) - Argentine tango - 24. Not great, but good considering the circumstances. The score was too high for the mistakes that were made.
The group dance was a lot of fun, and only there to fill the time, as far as I could tell. The men's wigs were funny.
Who will go home? Well, Michael is normally at the bottom, but stays week after week. The people who voted for Chuck are more likely to vote for him (or not watch at all) so I think we could get a surprise tonight. Louie, Natalie, Melissa and Aaron are all in danger!
Don't forget, tonight has the Michael Jackson tribute!
