Boo Boo Busters
I have spent some time thinking about this article, yeah, that precious commodity that us parents seem to lack every second that fleets by... ok, I digress, In between life, love, incessant squeals of toddler anger I have seen my fair share of bo-bo's, ouchies, and OH HELL is it still attached! I am one of those freaky moms who has a first aid kit in the kitchen, one in the bathroom, spares in the garage, the diaper bag, and oh yeah one in the car... depending on purse I might have one there! However, I almost with out fail will have a bandaid or an alcohol swab shoved somewhere.... just in case! I have to admit that I have gotten a mixed bag of reactions when I break out the "lifeboat", some moms are relieved, others snicker... but politely accept whatever provision I have offered up in the spirit of being "nice" or "helpful". After combing though link after link of how to- and what to have- in a first aid locker of choice... And after being overwhelmed, mulling over the info, I am here to give ya'all the 411~( oh look at me trying to be hip! )Now my kits aren't the flashy fancy kind, but, I tend to have all I need and more at hand. It is easier for me to have them set up with the scenario. Burn stuff goes into a burn box. Sprains go into a sports injury box. I also find it easy to have a few flash cards of what to do's in the appropriate boxes along with all the phone numbers one would need in a case of emergency.Bandaids... Scissors... tweazers.... All of the above! CHECK! So now you might be asking what do I need to make my own kits? Easy P..E..A..S..Y.. Mac and Cheasy!!!!!!! Just give me a day or so and I I will post the details, instruments, and cards for you guys to have at hand. Until then... stop running across the street blindfolded with scissors in each hand!
