International Womens Day
A lot of ppl dislike the idea of a Women's Day bc having a special day for women isn't very "equal", and I can understand that. But to me, International Women's Day isn't some day that we celebrate girls for being girls, it's a day where we recognize that women still experience sexism, while also acknowledging the women who have to deal with it every day, and letting them know that we see their suffering, that their oppression doesn't go unnoticed. There are a lot of people (even some women) who believe that sexism is no longer a problem today, which is not the case.
So to me, and I think most would agree, that International Women's Day is not "Girls Are The Best Day", its "Women Are Just As Good As Men Even Though They Are Constantly Told They Aren't Day"
