Leslie Brooke, illustrator of fairy tales and nursery rhymes
Leonard Leslie Brooke, often signed as LL Brooke was a prolific illustrator who created many beautiful books for children. He also made an original character Johnny Crow who was very successful around the half of the 20th century.
My favorite pictures by Leslie Brooke are still his illustrations of classic fairy tales, with clear lines and large monochromatic areas made of light and optimistic colors like the one from The Three Little Pigs below.
