$$$ HOW TO THRIVE ON REDGAGE $$$
Back about three years ago I found out about redgage from a writing friend, who said I had to get over herew and check it out. I did, liked what I saw, and joined. My earnings were extremely low, pennies a day, yet earning pennies a day was so much fun . I uploaded my own content, I sat back and watched, and I learned

One of the things I learned was that in order to really make money on RG, one had to have something called a twitter account. At the time, I had never heard of twitter and I let half a year slip by before I actually opened up a free twitter account. Than I began to tweet my content, and watch my views. The more I tweeted, the more my views climbed, and the more my RG earnings climbed, I had discovered one of the secrets to making RG work for me.
I began by using the twitter site itself to tweet from, but they limit how many tweets you can do, so I began using sites like su-pr (you have to have a stumbleupon membership to use su-pr, it's free,) and hootsuite. There are many other such sites out there, just do a google search for tweet sites, tweet deck is another such site.
Another little trick I learned was how to keep pieces of your content active on the site's feed page. There are a few ways to do this. You can favor your own content, I will usually favcor 2 to 4 pieces of my own content each week. You can also edit a few blogs each week to keep them active where others can easily see them. Editing or changing photo titles also works to this end. Or you can place a link into your status update with a catchy title, it all helps keep your content out in front where others can see it.
One of the keys to help boost views and thus earnings is to make friends. True, making friends in and of itself does not earn you money, nor does commenting or favoring content, but it does play a very important role which is directly linked to how much you earn. This is because RG only pays us by unique views, not by the number of friends we have, or how many comments we leave.
So why comment at all? If you don't comment on my content when you view it, I will have no way of knowing that you even looked at my content. But when you view, and leave a comment, I can see you dropped by, and I in turn will repay the favor. So yes, leaving comments does serve a purpose. In fact, many of the RG members I know follow a simple rule - you view and comment on my content, and I will do the same for you. It is a system that works well for both sides and both sides earn money together.
As far as rating goes, a lot of RG members don't bother with rating, I do. I always rate with a five star, it's my way of thanking you for mtaking the time to share your content. I also always ( when RG software allow it) favor the photos I rate. The only time I one star anyone is when the content proves to be stolen from another online site. More on that below.
When it comes to photos, there are a few simply rules that will help determine how well they do. The most important rule is DO NOT POST STOLEN PHOTOS . Doing so is against the RG rules, and even though it shows such photos earning money - when the time comes to get paid, RG will inform you they can not pay you because you had uploaded stolen photos. And RG uses software that can detect stolen photos within seconds, so just don't do it, unless your goal is to not get paid. RG is very firm about this, all content you upload must be content you yourself created.
You want to upload quality photos, sharp, in focus photos do best. Photos of rainbows, sunsets, nature photos, waterfalls, ocean views, beaches, animals anjd flowers all do very well. Hundreds of photos of your children, photos of such stupid things as buttons, pins, spoons, sugar cubes and bobby pins are not considered to be quality photos and will not earn you much money. Neither will blurred and out of focus photos. Almost any photo can be improved upon with even just minor editing, and there are many free online editing sites.
When it comes to links, I have never done really well with them as far as earnings go, but blogs do earn very well on Rg. Again, the key is to tweet your content daily. It also helps to post your content links on as many social networking sites as you can.
There are a few other things I could go into, but I am not. I think it's good for each member to observe and learn as they go along, and by observing you will come to learn some of the other ways to drive traffic to your content to to further boost your RG earnings. That's how I learned what i did, bu observing what others were doing. But if you did nothing else but what is found within this blog, it will be enough to get you into the lower end of the top RG earners.
