Just bought a new mattress, the last one... well let's just say it wasn't worth the money and the 15 year warranty is no good if they won't honor it. So out with the old and in with the new!
The price tickled my fancy more than anything, I watched the video over and over - finally I decided 'Yes' and hit the order button. It arrived in 3 days, 2 days ahead of schedule. Not only that, shipping was FREE!!! Even better!
I had hoped to have dolly at the ready but it apparently had been loaned out so I decided to muscle through and just 'do it'.
Here is the best advice I can give - have someone there to help you.
After wrestling with the box, then getting it out of the box, then putting it on the box springs I was almost ready for a nap. It weighs close to 200 lbs. (King size).
It comes rolled and folded in half, zipper sides together. The instructions say 'place zipper side down'. So I got it unrolled, the portion facing up began to expand so I knew I had to work fast. Fussing and fighting with an enourmous mattress that was expanding as I played with it was not my kind of fun. Eventually I had it into proper position on my box springs (which are not needed but I like my bed taller) took the remaing plastic off and within minutes had expanded to 10 inches. Another hour and it was 11 inches. I haven't measured it since then but I am certain it will expand that other inch.
Put the sheets on it and I guess my next purchase will be new sheets - these pockets are not deep enough.
Suffice it to say I'm looking forward to a good night sleep tonight. Let's hope this mattress lasts a couple of years at least!
