emule and cabos
emule and cabos are two opensource software programs that are absolutely free for you to use with no strings attached. Emule and cabos are a little difficult to use if you are just a beginner, but if you are an intermediate user, you can get by with cabos and emule alright.
Cabos uses the same libraries as limewire, but you are going to get a faster connection because you have to pay for limewire’s turbo connections to gnutella and cabos is a smaller file that runs on your java environment and connects instantly to the network and runs on a lighter amount of ram and hard drive space. Be careful what you download on gnutella’s network though, and you need to set strings for filters because there is alot of filth in the same categories that you are looking for.
emule is different, because it uses it’s own networks. The only draw backs with emule is that there aren’t alot of resources for the files you want. You can download rather quickly, but like gnutella networks, you need to watch out for corrupted files and dirty files.
