Webs VS Weebly

I created a website just by dumb luck. Here it is years later and I have a website which includes a domain. Since I'm a technotard I've looked around at the many places out there. There are a lot of places but not all of them fit my technotard needs. I need something simple.

Pros

1. Webs is really easy to figure out.

2. Weebly is pretty easy to figure out too.

3. Webs allows you to earn credits so you can earn upgrades like more bandwidth, unlimited pages, and a domain name.

4. Weebly allows you to make more than one blog which is really good if you're making a website with a friend or just want to put different things in a different spot.

5. Weebly is really good about getting back to you when you have a problem. You'll get a response from a person.

6. Webs is a bit more flexible when it comes to templates but Weebly seems to be working on that.

7. Weebly doesn't have a page limit which is great for me since I have tons of pages.

8. Weebly doesn't have a set amount of bandwidth that you're allowed each month.

9. Weebly has clickable links so you won't lose track of pages. That is easy to do when you have a long list of pages that keeps getting longer and longer. As long as it is linked on one of the pages you can just go to that page and click on it to find that page. This might help me finish a few stories that I started and never finished.

Cons

1. Webs is really bad when it comes to getting back to you. I asked a simple question and never got a response.

2. Webs: I was forced to use credits to buy bandwidth because they didn't reset my bandwidth like they were supposed to. I wasn't the only one that ended up running out of bandwidth because it wasn't reset.

3. Webs doesn't have clickable links. It is impossible for me to find a specific page. This along with the shoddy customer service is what decided me on moving to Weebly.

4. Webs isn't really great when it comes to the loading time of your website. Sometimes my site would take longer than others.

5. I believe that yesterday was the first time Webs actually mentioned that they would be down for maintenance. All too often things would go wrong. Of course that can't be totally avoided but they seem to have a lot of problems. I'd have problems logging in or the website wouldn't be available.

6. Even though Webs has a free domain option which is something I took advantage of I am a bit annoyed that I wasn't able to switch to over to Weebly. That forced me to get another domain. Luckily I won a drawing that allowed that to happen sooner rather than later. I just wonder what will happen to Fic Girl when the year is up. I might try to get it although I now have Fic Gal.

7. I'm not sure if it was just me but at Webs I hav to double space the blog posts in order to get a single space. Also for the longest time I haven't been able to get the right time even though I have the right time set. Inside the sitebuilder the time is fine but once you go to the  blog it shows up as Eastern time instead of Mountain. That was yet another thing that was never resolved.

I always felt trapped at Webs because of the size of my website but finally I decided that I'm moving. I've thought about it  before but this time I'm determined. It is gong to take quite a while so the website at Webs will remain up as I bring over pages to Weebly and delete them from Webs. I guess Webs isn't too bad if you're making a site that isn't big or maybe if you just use the blog.

PS: Be careful when you do get a domain. I dumbly got Moonlight Dwelling since it was orignally a Moonlight site. I just wasn't thinking about the fact that I decided to put all of my writing from various fandoms including original writing at my website.
