Nick has a brother Jake who came back home to avenge his brother's death by ridding the town of all witches. Um he should just kill Charles after all he's the one that killed him. I think Charles was feeling some guilt when he ran into Jake and called him Nick after telling the guy to call him if he needed anything. He's working with witch hunters but I was wondering if he was after the crystal since he did save Cassie from the crazy bitch AKA Simone.I wonder if he was putting the fire out at the house or setting it since it turns out that a crescent moon burned into a lawn is a way for witch hunters to warn the witches that they're coming. I would think that Simone was the one that set the one in front of the abandoned house where they all meet. They were able to put out the fire and Cassie told them that the circle isn't broken after all since Jake is part of Nick's bloodline. Uh oh I smell trouble but I'm thinking it is possible that Jake will ultimately turn his back on the witch hunters and go back to his own kind. I could be wrong.Grandma ends up giving Cassie the crystal. It would be much better if she could wear it as a pendant or hell as earrings. I guess she could always shove it down her bra. It did come in handy since she ends up rescuing Jake who ends up getting into it with Simone. She has no idea that he was working with him although he did end up warning Simone against making a move which made me wonder if he knew about the crystal. He even took the blood that Simone got when she attacked Cassie. I wonder what he'll do with it.Adam doesn't like Jake at all. Well it sounds like he had good reason since Jake screwed over Ethan. I'm thinking he wants to kill all of them because he blames them for Nick getting possessed by a demon. It's not like Cassie knew that Heather was possessed. She didn't have a I'm Possessed sticker on her. And he's very jealous every time he sees Jake with Cassie. It also doesn't help that Ethan's so sure that fate wants his son with Cassie since they are supposed to be together. So he's like Theresa and ironically his name is Ethan. That only makes sense if you watched Passions. The guy that Theresa knew she was fated to be with just so happened to be named Ethan.It turns out that once upon a time Faye and Jake had a thing. I'm not sure if they were dating but it is clear that she really liked the guy although he treated her like crap. Gee that sounds a bit like his brother. Hey she forgot to go home to change into the outfit that she'd been planning to wear when she saw him next. At least she isn't falling all over the guy like a dumb idiot. That's smart. Maybe she just wanted to show him what he missed by screwing her over.Ethan ends up talking to Diana which leads to her breaking up with Adam. Well she's not blind so she can see that Adam can't keep his eyes off Cassie. Cassie hasn't done anything since Adam is the one that keeps chasing her so this kind of goes along with the book unless my brain is fried and I'm remembering wrong. Ironically Diana goes to Cassie to tell her that she had just broke up with Adam. Yeah I can't exactly see her confiding in Faye and since Adam was her best friend that would be a bit awkward.
