Melissa continues to be uber creepy. She just sits there eating ice cream while casually talking about Garrett killing Ali like it was no big deal. Since Hanna said that Jenna and Melissa were guilty of something I think creepy would work along with Jenna also being able to see.
It just sucks that I accidentally got spoiled. I was just on Twitter to post a link and ended up seeing a trend that said Mona is A. Why did they do that? But that's the thing she really isn't A because this episode didn't reveal that at all. Like I thought there's a group and Mona is not the one in charge. I did wonder about her because no one would suspect her since lately she's been seeming to help the girls and also a victim of A.
So while Melissa goes on her creepy way to enjoy her ice cream a messenger comes to the door and the girls each get invited to a Masquerade. A wants her phone back or someone dies. A wants them to be there at midnight but of course that was just a plot to get three of the girls to stay while Spencer went off with Mona thinking that Mona wasn't so bad after all. But I have to admit that after Emily mentioned hide and seek that Spencer got a bit creepy when she said that she always won when she played hide and seek with her sister.
I really don't want to think about Ian's fetus but even ickier would be that outfit Aria was wearing. They put that girl in some of the strangest outfits. I am grateful that Spencer showed up to prove to Hanna that Spencer and Melissa really are about the same level of smartness. I bet Willow Rosenburg would have understand whatever she was saying while my head just started to hurt. Stupid pills haven't kicked in yet.
Spencer doesn't want to give the phone back so she suggests they look through the bag. They all end up at Ezra's place since he went out of town while once again Mona gets blown off. See bad things can happen when you keep blowing people off. I like Hanna but she is a crappy friend to Mona. She just pretty much ditched her in favor of Spencer and the others. Gee no wonder she hooked up with A to wreak havoc.
Of course Mona finds out that Caleb isn't with Hanna. Spencer is checking out Ezra's books and Emily's going through a photo album while Hanna's checking out the bed. That's when Aria reveals that the bed is sacred ground. Yep she did the deed. Oh Spencer is she supposed to announce that she did Ezra? That could get very complicated since he could be charged with statutory rape.
The girls find a motel by the airfield so they go for a drive. That had to be the creepiest ride ever. Greenview is one creepy place. I have no idea what just flew in front of the car but it was probably a deer. I don't think it was A. Aria wanted to go back but Emily's determined. I think that's her resolved face. Oh sure I'd want to go to a creepy motel in the middle of nowhere called Lost Woods. It didn't help when that guy just showed up at the side of car.
The owner said that he doesn't have many guests which isn't too shocking. Spencer ends up asking for room one which surprises the guy for some reason. I guess he's impressed that she knows about that room having the best water. The guy claims he doesn't know who Vivian is. It does seem like the perfect place to hide out or have a secret rendezvous. I'd probably end up in the mud like Hanna did although it probably doesn't help that she likely wasn't wearing the right footwear for the weather. Heels are evil. I'm not that desperate to gain a lousy few inches.
The girls go to the room and start looking around. They all wonder why Ali came to this creepy place. Spencer wants to get her hands on the registration book and she seems touched that Aria's willing to go. It's not like Emily and Hanna are going anywhere since they are cold and Hanna did end up falling into a mud puddle. So Aria's little but she's big. What girl doesn't want to hear that? So they leave Emily and Hanna in the room.
That picture was creepy. Aria thought it was staring at her. I don't think that's so far off since A was there and it seems like the place might have secret passages. Hanna decides to take a shower. Emily is grossed out by that although I have to say that the place doesn't look too bad. That was really nice of Emily to just leave the room so A could slip in. I'm surprised that Mona didn't do anything. Maybe some residual guilt over the whole I hit you with a car thing. But a so called called from Maya would do the trick and luckily the reception at that place is really crappy hence Emily leaving the room.
I guess the phone ringing stopped Mona from doing anything. Hanna found out that Emily was gone. At least they all kept their heads since that place could have been the Bates motel but the guy seemed harmless and lonely. They find out that Ali stayed at this place twice. A is watching them from the room next door since there's a hole. Aria doesn't want to crawl through the window again but she's expected to be a guard after all they are team Sparia. Really? I will never understand the need to smash names together.
Emily and Hanna end up talking while Spencer and Aria go off to return the book. Emily reveals that she wanted to be Romeo and Hanna's bummed that Caleb can't go with her. Hanna asks Emily to be her date because her costume needs a date. Yeah it is always good to make sure you have a date just in case you need to go with an outfit that doesn't need a date.
Spencer goes to Toby after they leave the creepy motel. She asks him if he could ever forgive her. It was strange that right after Spencer left that Dr Sullivan called him. I wonder why she called him. That just puzzles me. I was wondering if he could be her son who was threatened but I'm pretty sure you don't typically call your parent Dr Sullivan. That just doesn't make sense. But of course that isn't the only confusion since I'm often there.
I don't really know anything about eye surgery but I would think if you were blind and ended up getting an operation that could restore your sight on one eye that you wouldn't be allowed to drive a car. So I'm thinking that my thought about Jenna being able to see was actually right. I would think you'd have to wait a bit before jumping into a car and driving it when you got surgery jut the week before. It's not like we know that she got surgery. She had a bandage on her eye which doesn't really mean anything. She's been hiding behind those glasses so no one would know whether she could see or not.
That's pretty ballsy of Jenna to drive to the park to meet A like that. So the only thing we learned during this episode was that Mona's been the one wearing the hoodie and that Jenna is also a minion of A. I always thought it had to be more than one person. Mona's rich so I'm sure she's the one that forked over all that cash since Sullivan was paid to leave although she did vaguely mention that her son was threatened. I'm not sure what to think about that.
They all started dateless but one by one they all end up with someone during the evening leaving Spencer all alone. Caleb shows up courtesy of Mona and Ezra's back. I guess A sent them tickets. It was a good plan to distract the three while taking Spencer back to the creepy motel where Spencer was able to figure out that Mona's A or so we thought until it turns out that she's just a minion taking orders from A since there's a A Team. That just makes me think of the show. I guess she'd be Murdock since she's just nuts. Paige showed up so she ended up chatting with Emily.
Since it seemed like Mona did something good Spencer told Mona that she's a great friend to Hanna. Oh sure we should all be lucky to have a friend like that after all who doesn't want a friend to hit them with a car? Spencer apologized for never standing up to Alison. Spencer had no idea that Mona was dropping a hint when she talked about a shop Brooke Haven. She totally missed that. Hmm maybe someone is smarter than her or at least has someone pulling the strings that's smarter.
It turns out that someone has been staying in room 2 since before Ali went missing. Spencer figured Ali rented room 1 to spy on A. I guess whoever A is would be the one in that room but since Mona's a minion she goes there too since there was a gum wrapper in Ali's diary. Mona must have loved being Spencer's partner in crime. She thought she could trust Mona but instead she ends up stuck with A's minion who ends up knocking out Spencer and takes her for a drive to Lookout Point. I feel bad for the motel guy who talks to his stuffed creatures. He doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor.
I guess Ezra really wasn't thinking when he said he wanted to see Aria during their first dance. Maybe he could have cut bigger holes in his mask. Doesn't he realize that by removing the masks that people would be able to see them? I guess he wasn't thinking about that. And he ends up kissing her too. Hope no one is watching. I guess he figured he had nothing to lose since he's jobless. Who knew Byron had that much power. Someone really should tell the dean about Byron's extra circular activities since he's just coming off as a hypocrite although at the same time I get it since this is his underage daughter that's dating a teacher. Good thing he doesn't know about the boinking.
A is so not getting a deposit back since there's a hole in the wall but I guess when someone rents a room you're probably just glad to collect the money and not sweat the details like sending over the maid. The room was covered in pictures. Maybe this is the twin's hideout unless it was the twin sister that killed Ali. Three of the girls have thought they've seen Ali which they could have. The door was open at Spencer's place and it looked like someone took the pills. Someone had to pull Emily out of that barn too. Okay Hanna was in the hospital but I did wonder if that was real instead of just a dream.
Oh nice Emily and Paige are officially friends. Her timing was awfully convenient since the three girls all end up with someone which results in Spencer being alone. It makes this girl wonder if any of the three are also minions of A. What better way to go undetected than to be one of the four friends? Spencer does have her creepy moments too although her sister gets he creepy award hands down. I hope Caleb isn't because that would suck for Hanna to find out that her best friend from junior high and her boyfriend were both playing her. I think he probably isn't and just happened to get sucked in with Jenna because she was willing to pay him to get dirt on the girls which he stopped doing.
Spencer didn't even give it a thought when Mona found a picture of what seems to be A's costume. That could be A's costume after all we really don't know who A is. I'm just guessing when I say it could either be Ali or a twin since a twin has been implied. I've never read the books since I haven't been able to get them from the library and the store does seem to have this wacky policy where they charge you for books so I have no idea how much the books and the show are alike. Mona supposedly goes off to call Hanna. I guess Emily didn't mention the lousy reception when she got that supposed phone call from Maya.
I'm just not sure who the Swan is.It could be A or hell it could be Ashley although I'm not sure since the hair seems to be too dark. Ella has dark hair but she's not tall. So I really have no clue who it could be. The girls can't tell who it is. I do know that it isn't Melissa since she's pregnant and probably eating more of that ice cream at home. Hanna doesn't like her because she's a size two. I won't even start a rant about that. Hmm Lucas is there along with Jenna so I'm thinking this could be the top A that's pulling the strings. Hell it could be a guy in drag. At this point I guess you can't rule anything out. Before the girls can catch up to the mysterious Black Swan she gets out the door and the door is magically unlocked unlike doors on soap operas in the day where anyone can just prance on into anyone's house.
Whoopsie Hanna's phone has been set to record every time the phone is on. I guess I'm glad that I don't have one of those things. That's just creepy. Just think about those private moments being recorded like if you let one rip or you happen to be in the bathroom and you're taking a number two. Luckily Mona was too busy talking to notice that Spencer was able to call the girls so they could hear her crazy chatter. Join the A team or disappear? Um I wonder if the disappearing comes with a big fat envelope of cash since I'd be up for that since I don't have any money. It just doesn't make sense. Maybe I'm having a dumb blonde moment but I think I'm even more confused now. She wants Spencer to team up and become another one of A's minions.
Oh Spencer even you should know that isn't really true since Hanna keeps blowing off Mona not that this gives her a reason to hit Hanna with a car among the other things she's done. So I wonder if Lucas is also a member of the A team since he was standing there with them. It does seem like too much of a coincidence for him to be there with them like that unless he knew to meet them there. So the lesson is to not piss off your friends since they might turn on you in a really bad way emphasis on bad. Mona tells Spencer that she's the one that has Peter's gun.
Well isn't Spencer lucky? She manages to get out of the car just as Hanna and the others arrive. It almost looked like Hanna wasn't going to stop the car but she did. Well she did sort of hit her that one time when Mona dropped the phone. Mona stands there looking at Hanna and then starts screaming before running off. Spencer ends up tackling her so there's a struggle and Mona falls over the edge. It looked like she was dead but she survived. Well that's no shock really since the bad guys are always harder to kill. This is the second time that someone tried to kill Spencer. Good thing the doctor's back since she just might need some therapy.
The cops are called and Dr Sullivan shows up which surprises the girls. That makes sense since her just showing up like she didn't sure doesn't except she mentions some threat to her son. I want to know who her son is and why she called Toby who appears to have known more than we thought since he was pretending to not care about Spencer anyone. Hanna's upset of course since she thinks her friend is dead but hey she survived. I do wonder about the alarm on Mona's watch. It was like her cue to go into a catatonic state.
Or maybe Mona just didn't a break from living in hyper reality whatever that means. In simple terms the girl has a few screws loose and A manipulated her into being her main minion. Supposedly therapy and medication could help her. I did find Mona's thoughts were amusing. She likes her lipstick. The doctor even confirmed that Mona's smart. I guess A is smarter since she managed to turn her into a meat puppet. I just wish they'd explained why Toby was in the know with the doctor. He was waiting outside the station. Spencer tried slapping him but he stopped her and then she just kissed him.
Since Pam's back Emily suggests the girls go to her place to sleep. That turns out to not be a good idea since that's where the ambulance and police are. Of course Emily's afraid because of all the hoopla going on in front of her house but Pam is just fine. She shows up and tells Emily that they think they found Maya's dead body. So she wasn't sending those texts after all. I guess Maya got into the car with Mona or maybe A which turned out to be a huge mistake since she's dead. But it was odd that Pam said they think it's Maya. Think? Why think? So of course Emily's upset and creepy Melissa is just standing there since she seems to have some weird death fascination thing.
Mona's at the loony bin looking all creepy and someone tells her she has a visitor. I guess that's the doctor. Oh that looks like such a nice loony bin. In a place like that I would think you'd become even crazier than you were when you entered the place. She's still in zombie mode until the doctor leaves and someone wearing a red jacket shows up. Hmm that jacket looks like the Vivian Darkbloom jacket. Mona tells this mysterious person that she did everything she was asked to do which means this mystery person is the real A that's pulling the strings on her minions.
