The Ties That Bind
Now if only my request for a shirtless hottie would always be delivered like that. But alas my superpower seems to be the ability to ask questions that rarely if ever get answered which is why I try to not ask questions but sometimes they just slip out. So it was nice that I got Tyler shirtless and in chains. Yep that's on the wacky list at Moonlight Dwelling.
Anyhoo Bonnie has another witchy dream about the mom that abandoned her fifteen years before. Wow witches really age well. I wonder if that's moisturizer or just a witchy thing. That made me think about that girl in junior high that has a kid in his or her twenties. Oh crap I'm not even going to think about that. La la la I am not old. She decides this is a sign that Deadbeat Mom can help open the fourth coffin.
Bonnie lets Elena know about the coffin hiding place and Stefan is just thrilled about that. So they get records on every Abby around but Damon used compulsion to get the answer. He's just adorable. Damn why couldn't he be taking another shower? I really like when he does that. Stop it I'm getting distracted thinking about Damon in the shower. Anyhoo he knows where Abby is and the girls go on a road trip. Sadly Damon isn't invited so no snarky commentary this time.
Klaus already knows where Abby is so he sends one of his minions to her so he gets there before the girls do. Stefan calls Bonnie since he wants an update even though he knows the girls are already gone. Elena answers the phone and tells him that they are going to the lake house. Abby isn't there when the girls arrive but some guy arrives and lets the girls in. He thinks Bonnie is familiar. I guess that has to do with Abby being her mom since that does happen.
Abby arrives soon after and goes into mom mode. Bonnie isn't a happy camper since this guy whose name I'm blanking on seems to be the child that Abby wanted. She took him in and put him through school after she split from his father. At least her maternal instincts went somewhere since they sure as hell didn't go to her daughter. She explains that she left town after Elena's parents died. She was Miranda's best friend. She left town because a vampire was there looking for Elena. That was Mikhael. So she's the one that left him that cemetery but supposedly it drained her of all her magic and took a lot out of her.
Okay I get what she did but I don't get why she didn't go back to town after she took care of that pesky Original that was probably going to kill Elena so his son couldn't become all powerful and unkillable. I just don't trust her and Bonnie doesn't seem to either. Elena leaves the two alone and goes outside where she finds Stefan. What's his name shows up with a shotgun and shoots Stefan. Hey dude didn't you read the Hottie Handbook? I have it posted at my website. He ties up Elena and Abby drugs Bonnie.
Klaus really wants those coffins. Bonnie isn't talking and she's not a happy camper but she doesn't want what's his name to kill himself which is what he was compelled to do if they couldn't get the location of the coffins out of Bonnie. Klaus gets three of the coffins back. He just doesn't realize at the time that one of his siblings has been released from the coffin. Oh it was really nice to see Elijah show up. Damon was able to hide the mysterious fourth coffin that has who knows what in it. It could be a very extensive porn collection for all we know.
I was really hoping that Elena would take off Stefan's shirt. Well he did have bullets in him so it only makes sense to take his shirt off so she can see what she's doing. Sadly that didn't happen. She takes the bullets out after she impressively got herself untied. She gets the shotgun away from what's his name and knocks him out before helping Stefan. She even tells Stefan about the kiss. He later ends up punching Damon. Oh you got to love two hot brothers when they're fighting. Maybe that's a sign that he does care somewhere deep down.
Tyler ends up calling Daddy Forbes for help. Daddy Forbes thinks that Tyler turning into a werewolf will help break the bond. That does make a kind of sense. He's finally able to do it and I do appreciate the shirtlessness. See I told you someone was shirtless. Sadly the chains just weren't strong enough. Tyler breaks free and mauls Daddy Forbes. Oopsie. That's not good but luckily Meredith seems to be a doctor that saves patients when she can with hijacked vampire blood. That's actually pretty smart but I just don't trust her. Of course that could have something to do with Melissa on Pretty Little Liars not being someone all that trustworthy either.
But it was sweet when Damon went to check out Meredith. Aw he's looking out for his buddy. Meredith vervains him and steals his blood. She later uses it on Daddy Forbes. I'm just not sure if it was such a good idea for Ric to tell Meredith about his ring. It is strange how her ex ended up staked like a vampire. I'm still curious about how she's related to Logan. I'm guessing sister or possibly cousin. They are obviously related since he was a Fell too. But who the hell staked her ex?
Daddy Forbes wasn't too thrilled when he found himself recovered. I just want to slap the guy for being an idiot. He should be grateful that he survived instead of being used as Tyler's chew toy. Okay he was his chew toy for a little bit. I wonder if Tyler will next bite Liz. Daddy Forbes wants Tyler to keep changing until it doesn't hurt anymore. Maybe he should watch Twilight or whichever movie it was when Jacob is first seen changing into a werewolf. He doesn't seem to have pain at all. He just changes in a second. Of course the so called vampires don't have fangs but I won't even go there. I think this could work but damn I feel for the poor guy since the changing process isn't fun at all. It is just horrible.
