Dragon Quest
I had no idea that it took so long for dragons to migrate. But I have to admit that I am proud of Fluttershy for standing up and saying no. Rainbow Dash wanted her to come along but she said no and even stomped on Rainbow Dash before taking off. Of course she didn't bust through the windows. She stopped and went through them before running off into the forest. Maybe she visited Zacora.
While Twilight, Applejack, and Pinkie were all in the right outfits Rarity showed up with a carpet and her fabulous camouflage. I'm pretty sure she should lose the fabulous when there are dragons around after all they do breathe fire. Spike did look adorable in that apron and now I want a cupcake which I do have. I just need to find them. I'm sure I got some at the store. Don't make fun of a baby dragon in an apron.
Poor Spike can't sleep because he has no idea who his family is. Twilight was given his egg so she knows nothing about where he came from. Since Spike was awake she suggested research which kind of makes her the pony version of Giles. Spike decides that he needs to find out who he is so he decides to go after the dragons.
Oddly it was Rainbow Dash that tried to stop Spike from leaving. Twilight told him to go off on his quest. Of course she had already planned on following him so Rarity was able to put together another fabulous costume so they could blend in. I get the feeling that dragons aren't very smart since they didn't notice that the dragon that might have been Crackle's cousin had eyes in the neck.
Spike finally arrives to the spot where the dragons are hanging out. He goes over to the teen dragons. They weren't very nice to him but Spike did finally win them over when he belly flopped into the pool of lava and survived. That earned him the rank of rookie. It was close when he was able to make it up to the pile of jewels and knock the two dragons off the top but he ended up falling too. And he wasn't too good at tail wrestling. That was just cheating having the dragon that was all tail challenge him.
Spike's just excited about being around other dragons. He doesn't even notice that three of his pals are there helping him out. The dragons decide to go on a raid and Spike goes along too. That one dragon with the tail like a mace picked him up. He looked like chocolate. They want Spike to distract the Phoenix parents so they can steal the eggs. Spike ends up throwing a rock and runs for his life.
When the red dragon goes to the nest he notices that the eggs have all been hatched. Those little guys handled themselves against the big bad dragons. No one noticed an egg falling to the ground. The parents stopped chasing Spike when they realized the kids were in danger. Spike finds the egg and right after that he's surrounded by dragons. This impresses the red dragon but Spike refuses to smash the egg like he's told.
Luckily this is when Twilight, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity show up. The dragons weren't too impressed with the pony pals. The red one must be dumb since he didn't seem to know who Princess Celestia is. Hopefully that letter that Spike belched wasn't too important since it got tossed into the lava pool. Spike suggests they run and Twilight's able to use her magic to get away from the mean dragons.
Spike then realizes that he's just fine where he is. All of his pony friends are his family. I have to say I wasn't impressed with these dragons. They don't seem to be the same kind of dragon as Spike. Maybe the no wings dragons are nicer. Spike ends up writing a letter to Princess Celestia. He's just fine where he is and there's plenty of time for him to figure out where he came from. I think he should ask Princess Celestia since she's likely to know about Spike. For all we know he's an orphan or the last of his kind which could explain why he was given to Twilight to take care of.
