Blame It On Rio Bravo
I want more but sadly this is the end of Happy Town. I'm not a happy camper at all not that I like camping. That is such a stupid saying. Anyhoo this finale just left me with a bunch of questions that I doubt will ever be answered. It was left very up in the air. There really should be a movie or hell even a book to help tie up all the loose ends. It would be one thing if it was a season finale but since it is a series finale it just left me wanting more since there is so much that's left unexplained. What's up with the question mark and halo? Where are the Magic Man's victims? Why was Rachel taken and released? I"m sure I could go on and on with questions so it sucks to see this come to an end thanks to ABC and the utter stupidity of them when it comes to shows that have such potential.
It turns out that Merritt's buddy Xavier is none other than Dan Farmer or as I call him Tapioca Guy. Well he did say his friend was hurt. Of course Greggy decided it would be a good idea to get a lynch mob together even though Tommy was pretty sure that Tapioca Guy wasn't the Magic Man. If he was he wouldn't need to find out where the lair was for starters along with him not hurting the people he took since it was more out of desertion than anything else after all his son could still be alive. So the two have been working together. I guess it makes sense that Merritt called off the backup that Tommy wanted since that would have meant that Tapioca Guy was more likely to end up dead after all these people wanted to string him up. Doesn't that just make you go all warm and fuzzy to see the town band together like that? John happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time so he ended up getting strung up by the dimwit brothers.
Thanks to a smoke bomb Greggy was able to get into the station and the shooting began. Oh Rachel it isn't such a good idea to go wandering off when the bullets are flying but she was determined to see the face of this guy but realized it wasn't him when she saw him. He'd only been shot in the arm but he was acting like he was hurt more than he was so they were trying to get him to the hospital when the mob showed up. Um if he was the Magic Man wouldn't you want him alive on the chance your loved ones are still alive somewhere? I guess thinking goes out the window. Greggy and whichever brother that was did end up getting captured while Merritt took care of the others outside. He told them that he'd protect their brothers if they just left town which they did and ended up saving John. His name is John right? Crap that's another thing about this show ending soon since I don't know everyone character's name yet.
Another thing that I wonder about would be Andrew and the reason he has to stay in town. There's something there but of course what that is will never be revealed because of the stupidity of ABC yanking this show much too soon. He had planned on going off to California with Georgia but those plans got changed after he watched The Blue Door with Grandma Demented Spider. Why? What is up with that movie? Is he some kind of guardian or protector against the Magic Man after all Grandma Demented did keep her at bay for all those years? Does she know who the Magic Man is? Is that why she hit Alice with it? What is up with that creepy bird hammer anyway? So she's stuck in Haplin but at least Carl is acting like a father when she tells him. Oh yes never invite a crocodile to the junior prom.
Chloe/Henley was at the police station since she wanted to tell Tommy about Peggy killing his Mom with the hammer. Yes she's alive. I guess that could be why Rachel was released after she was taken after all that's her daughter-in-law. Of course another question springs to mind when John gets home and finds Andrew reading a book to what might have been Caroline who was transformed into Addie or maybe that was Addie herself. I just don't know and think I might have to watch again to see. Well Caroline at least I think that's her name did tell the chick she wanted to look different so I suppose it could have been her but it was just so very odd that I can't say for sure. Andrew did say they were a family again. Huh? Yeah there's a lot of that going on which is why this should continue since it so left up in the air.
Dad shows up with his guns which allows Greggy and whoever that is with him to be captured so they are tossed in jail. Dad starts walking back to the rehab place and Tommy goes after him. He wants to know about his Mom. I of course wonder who was buried in Alice's grave or whether or not there's anyone in it. After talking to Dad he goes off to see Peggy after all she's the one that hit Mom on the head with the hammer which confuses the hell out of me. Wouldn't this be a good time to show that scene? I think it would be but no one bothers to listen to me. While he's off doing that Chloe/Henley follows Griff to a bar named Cicero's where his wife Alice is. It turns out that she's the Magic Man and that he knew about it expect for the part about the people still being alive. Are they still alive? Sure that one chick was alive when her hand was cut off but that doesn't mean the rest are alive. So now all those questions are unanswered along with who in the hell Chloe is. I'm thinking she must have lived in the town at some point.
