An 11 year olds story .. in his own words
NOTE FROM GUARDIANS: This is written by an 11 year old who recently experienced the below events. It is helpful for him to write about the incident and his feelings surrounding it. This is a true story and POSITIVE feedback is greatly appreciated. Negative feedback will be reported, as this is intended to help this child, not impair his ability to heal. Thank you for your time.
One day when I was out with my friends after school I came home between 7:30 - 8:30. When I came home my step Dad ask me were I was? I told him but he didn’t believe me so he took of his belt and whip me with he his belt. He wouldn’t stop but he finally did then he sent me to my room. I decided to grab my shoes and run out to the door. I was running non stop to my friends house and my chest was beating fast because I didn’t wont to be seen at night. I finally got to my friends house and rang the door bell then my friends mom answered the door and told me what I wanted. Then she seen that I was crying and I told her what happened then I stayed for awhile until she called my mom.
After awhile my mom came and got me from my friends house. It was late and the police came at 2:00 in the morning talking to my mom about what happened so then police man came to my room and ask me a whole lot of questions. I showed the police officer my marks that I got from the belt. Then they left and I went back to bed. It was the morning and my mom rushed into my room and told me to get ready for school so I did. Then she was complaining about that my step Dad went to jail because for what he did.
After school my mom came and picked me up and I had know clue what was going on. We got to this place called Children’s Services and then she left me there with my school bag and my clothes from home. They told me that I was going to a foster home for a weekend but that was a lie. I had been staying at the foster home for 5 months but then I left to go live with my best friend. So from 2 weeks ago I have been living with my best friend so yeah….
