Update!
It's hard to believe I haven't been on here in about 7 months. Based on my last status message, I'd had a rough bout of headaches back then. That still happens from time to time, but not as often, thank goodness!
A few things that have been keeping me busy are the usual job and family. I also started working part time at a hair salon back in October. I work two nights a week and Saturdays so far. I knew when I was in junior high that this is what I wanted to do. I would go to a local hair salon after school and help clean up. I folded towels, swept, etc. I talked to the stylists and learned that I could go to beauty college during high school and get credits toward graduation. I would be ready to work shortly after graduation. That is just what I did.
Life took me a different direction and I only worked in the hair business for a couple of years. I have been working from home for about the last six years, developing training material for a health insurance compnay. Working from home, cooped up in my own little office, with no one to talk to doesn't really mesh well with my "people person" personality. I am blessed to finally have the opportunity to work in the business that I love.
Shortly after I started at the salon, I saw an ad for body wraps that help tighten, tone, and firm the area where they are applied in just 45 minutes. The wraps keep working for up to 72 hours after applying them. It is not water loss. The results are accumulative (the more you use them, the more you see results, a lot like exercising!) and permanent (like exercise). I thought it would be a good service to add to my menu at the salon. I contacted the gal and tried the wraps. I noticed a difference in my "mama pouch" and knew my clients would love them. Long story made a little bit shorter, I hardly get to use the wraps myself because as soon as I get an order in, someone wants to get wrapped! What a problem to have, I know!
I have not really had time to get people involved in the business end of it as I work full time and have a husband, daugther, and mentally challenged live-in to take care of, on top of working at the salon part time. Despite this time crunch, I currently have 29 distributors and customers. My commission, not counting my own wraps, was $80. This month it is $215. Our team is growing like wildfire and it is so exciting!
I have some pretty big goals for 2013, which include getting myself down to a size 9 or smaller; obtaining a new to us vehicle (one that is much younger than our current vehicles, in better condition, and gets better mileage at least!); painting the exterior of our house; and relocating the mentally challenged man we take care of as it is too much stress on our family. I also have some bills here and there to pay off. With the help of ItWorks , I know I can and will achieve these goals and more!
