Where do you find an ethical Program Owner?
Well I have been reflecting on my experience of Program Owners and their tactics in getting us to buy their products and services.
I jotted down some notes because what came to mind was my experience with Darryl Graham, CEO of ISORegister and creator of the new 12SecondCommute Program that offers a whole suite of marketing tools.
I've known Darryl since 2006 and found him exceedingly generous but his commitment to ethical behavior struck me during a teleseminar he was running yesterday.
I had just been stung by a FREE trial I took out in October in another program and found that I had been paying $30 per month since then for something I had not used. Of course, Progam owners who use this tactic insist on the credit card up front and anticipate that 30-40% of susbcribers will forget they took out the free trial with an automatic paid subscription after a set time.
Darryl insists that in his program there will be no credit card required for the 30 day FREE trial.
I have been in other programs that give you a suite of tools and then leave you to your own devices to figure it all out. Of course, for an extra fee you can join the coaching program or pay even more for the Master Class.
Not Darryl, he runs web training conferences personally as least twice a week. He arranges for other experienced presenters to cover off on other days and he sometimes attends these other presentations himself as well. He is genuinely interested in members understanding and using his tools.
He also does not take his presenters for granted but offers them extra bonuses for their efforts - other Program owners just use you as a presenter and barely acknowledge your efforts.
Many program owners take the sales that are not attributable to any affiliate - Darryl gives them to his Charter members on a rotational basis.
Darryl stated at the recent training conference that he will not JV with others to launch his new program - he is determined that his online tools program will not be contaminated with hype and false promises. How many times have you heard lately from the JV partners who are pushing the training program on how to use Facebook ads (in competition to Google Adwords) - all promoting the same program!
Darryl pays the equivalent of 50% of income over 5 levels to his affiliates - generous by any measure. He starts with 35% on the first level - the highest commission on the first level not the last as some program owners do.
The 12 Second Commute site offers a suite of online marketing tools - autoresponders, capture page creator (superb - used it yesterday!), Program Builder, adtracker, Contact manager, etc. Here Darryl's generosity is shown again - you can get access to all the tools on the lowest membership level (currently $9 a month). So as you grow your business you can upgrade your access to build more capture pages, have more subscribers, etc. How many other Program Owners restrict your access to some tools unless you pay at the higher levels?
In addition, Darryl has personally created multiple videos for each of the tools to explain how to use them. He explains each facet of every tool in a clear and simple manner. I've certainly used the videos to quickly get up to speed on the new tools.
Darryl has been a breath of fresh air and his ethical stance flows through the program and is demonstrated by the willingness of the more experienced members to help the newer members. Unlike some gurus I've heard on webinars, he does not belittle the newbies but works with them in a genuine way. Darryl even gives his own phone number for contact and responds quickly to email queries. Furthermore, at the training conferences, he tells you when he is available that day (and what his commitments are!).
This discussion may sound over the top - but I have been scammed, stung, cheated, scorned and misued by other Program owners. It is a delight to work with someone who is honest, ethical & generous and who has your business interest at heart. Thanks Darryl.
