RedGage Tutorial: Dashboard

Navigating, Editing, and Managing your account on RedGage

The Dashboard is your homebase for any internal notifications.  If you want to see your News Feed or your Mailbox, the Dashboard is where you want to be.  When you subscribe to a user, their activity will show up in your News Feed.  By tracking this, you know when your RedGage friends have uploaded material that you might be interested in checking out.

The Dashboard will show you any new notifications you may have.  When you have messages in your RedGage Mailbox or new comments on your content, the Dashboard will display that information.  The Dashboard will also display if you have any new friend requests.  You might have also noticed the icons above your News Feed.  By clicking on an icon on your Dashboard, you can filter the information in your News Feed.  These filters will highlight specific actions based on an activity or based on a certain type of content.

From left to right, the icons represent:  'Added a Friend', 'Added a Favorite', 'Commented on Content', 'Rated Content', 'Uploaded a Blog', 'Uploaded a Photo', 'Uploaded a Video', 'Uploaded a Document', 'Uploaded a Link', and 'Added a Collection'.  This function will allow users to organize the news feed and customize updates.  We realize that as your network starts to grow on RedGage, you might want to breakdown your news feed.  For example, if I am only interested in viewing recent photo uploads, I could click the photo icon to narrow my feed.  For example, if I am only interested in seeing a feed of status changes, I can filter the information by clicking on the Status icon.

Have fun browsing!
