RedGage Tutorial:  Import Tool

The days of uploading one piece of content at a time are over, my friends.  RedGage’s instant importing tool will allow you to bring all of your content to RedGage with a click of a button.

With one step, you can immediately copy all of your content from YouTube, Blogger, Flickr, Facebook, Wordpress and Twitter.  Your previous material will stay on your other sites, but a copy of it will be imported into RedGage.

Here is the rundown on how to use the Import Tool…

1)  Click on the ‘Tools’ tab and chose the Import tool

2)  Pick a service from which you want to import from (Blogger, YouTube, Flickr, Facebook Notes, Facebook Links, Facebook Status, Facebook Photos, Wordpress, Twitter).  You will have to grant access to that account (one-time only) and any service you choose will appear under 'My services'.

3)  Two things are about to happen.  First, RedGage will scan your accounts and bring all of your material to RedGage in a batch upload.  If that material is already in a collection or album, it will add those groups into your collections automatically.  Next, your accounts will be synchronized with RedGage.  Every so often, the RedGage Importer will scan your accounts for new material.  If you add content to any of your other websites it will be automatically imported to RedGage!  This way you don't need to keep uploading the same material on all of your various sites. The time stamps next to your added services will let you know how many pieces of content have been imported and when the last scan took place.

4) Sidenote:  Your first batch of material will not show up in your News Feed.  If you are curious as to whether or not your content has been imported- look and see if it appears in your profile.  Also, any content that is set as private on your other accounts (or does not have a title) will not be imported to RedGage.  Flickr photos must have titles and tags to be imorted to RedGage.

Consider yourself on import vacation.  The tool will do all of the work.

Is anyone else getting their blogger to work? I keep trying to refresh it, but it just keeps saying never under updated and I'm not sure what else I should do?

How often does Redgage check one's blog for updates? I have tons of blog posts that are not imported and I started a new blog on blogger (still linked to the same username) and nothing has appeared. Is there anyway I can import manually?

I'm having issues getting the domain import to actually work. I put the name of my domain in and click "submit" nothing happens. Very frustrating. I've been on and off for the past few months hoping that this would start working soon because I have three sites and don't want to keep importing things post by post.

Is there now or will there be a way to SELECTIVELY import content from other sites? I would love to link my Flickr to RedGage, but I do not want all of it posted here, especially those I've marked private or 'friends-only'!
Any developer make an add-on script so I can selectively add flickr posts to redgage?

The same thing is happening to me plus I do not see any blogger updates in my tool account.
