RedGage Tutorial:  Broadcast Tool

The Broadcast Tool is perfect for those of you who are looking for ultimate exposure or enjoy sharing your work.  By using the broadcast feature, you can show your friends in other networks (Facbook, Twitter, Friendfeed) what you are doing on RedGage.   If you use these social networks, the added service will post announcements in your news feed or status.   Any time that you post content to RedGage, you can let other people know to check it out!

Between our three tools (Broadcast, Import, and Invite), you can find a way to utilize RedGage in a way that bests suits your lifestyle and your content.

Here is a quick tutorial on the Broadcast Tool...

1)  Click the ‘Tools’ tab and choose the Broadcast Tool

2)  Pick a service (Facebook, Twitter, FriendFeed)

*You will have to grant access (one time only)

3)  That service will appear under 'My Services'.  From here on out, when you import content to RedGage- it will post notifications on whichever sites you choose to add to your services.

*Facebook Sidenote- In order for this to work on Facebook, you have to change your application settings.   Use the following link to change your settings for the RedGage Application:

http://www.facebook.com/home.php#/editapps.php?v=wall

Click ‘edit options next to the RedGage Application and choose the last setting (Click: Allow RedGage to publish specific story sizes automatically without prompting.  Option: Short Story).   See below:

Whenever you add another site, you should see it listed under 'My Services'.  If you are looking to remove the service, you can always just click the 'remove' link next to the icon.  Depending on the chosen service, the notification will be in your news feed or profile status.

Don't be humble with your wonderful work!  Share it with the people in your life and in your networks!

I have tried using the Twitter Broadcast but can't seem to get it to work. I like to send it to Twitter and then it sends it on to my FB page.
