1) Click on the upload button on the upper right hand side of the screen.
2) When the drop down bar appears, choose 'blog' as your content type. Fill in the required fields (title, tags, description). After you fill out the required information, you can choose to enter a trackback link (optional).
What is a trackback link?
A trackback link is used if you are referencing another person's blog. If you are writing about (or in response to) another blog or website, you can enter the link in this field if you choose.
3) When you click ‘Continue’, a text edit box will appear and you will be able to enter text, html, and images. You can copy and paste your writing into the box (beware of attached HTML if you are copying and pasting from a Word document).
4) Use the upper right-hand corner to expand the text edit box and feel free to navigate the site while this box is open. You can search or go to other RedGage pages and still have the text edit box open.
5) The buttons on the top of the text editor are similar to word or other formatting options. You can use these buttons to change your font color, your allignment, your font/font size, add bullets, underline or bold text, spellcheck, etc.
6) Click 'previous' to change your title, tags, or description. When you are satisfied with your blog, click the upload button!

TO ADD A PHOTO TO A BLOG
As of right now, the only way to add a photo to your blogs is if you already have the photo online. You cannot add photos from your computer straight into a blog. There are multiple free websites that allow you to archive your photos and use a direct link to post them online. One website that will allow you to do this is Photobucket. Here is an example of how you would add one of your photos to a blog on RedGage.
1) Upload your photos to an online photo archive. Let us use www.photobucket.com as an example.
2) You will see multiple links listed under your photo. Choose the 'Direct Link' and copy and paste that URL.
3) When you want to add a photo to a RedGage blog, click on the image icon.
4) Paste the direct link into the field that says 'Image URL' and click insert
5) To resize the photo, you can either click on the photo and use the sides to drag the image. Or you can click on the photo, reclick the image button, and choose the second tab that says Appearence to manually change the size.
6) You can use the allignemtn buttons at the top of the text editor to change the placement of your photo.
TO ADD A LINK TO A BLOG
1) Either type out the link (if you want the viewers to be able to see the entire link) or type the words that you would like to be the underscored text that will lead someone to the link. For example:
www.redgage.com/rghelp or My RedGage Profile
2) After you type what you want the viewers to click on, highlight the word or phrase and click the button that looks like a chain link.
3) Add the link you would like to take the viewers to. So in this case, I would type www.redgage.com/rghelp in the URL field.
4) Click insert and your underlined text will turn into a hyperlink. My RedGage Profile
