Medical Writing: I Earned $200 per Article
I’m an MBBS doctor and adeptmedical writer . Today, I received $200 (Rs. 18000) plus from one of my clients for one article that I wrote for him in a single day! It was a review article on the disease called "Kikuchi Fujimoto Disease" that I handled to write on Sunday. The client also offered me to come to KSA (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) and work with his team!
Being a medical writer, I love to write medical academic writings i.e. original medical articles, review articles, case studies, synopses, case reports, editorials etc. The article I wrote for my client was on the disease Kikuchi’s disease. The characteristic features of Kikuchi’s disease are the tender lymphadenopathy of the posterior cervical lymph nodes and low grade fever. Differential diagnoses of Kikuchi’s disease include SLE, Tuberculosis and Malignant lymphoma.
For the last one year, I’ve been gaining experience of medical writing and earned some money too. I started to write at the rate of $1 per article of 500 words. After some time it increased to $2 per article, then $4 per article, $5 per article, $10 per article. And today, I received $200 per article! I’m very happy that somehow I reached somewhere (rank) where I can say that I’m a good medical writer and a freelancer .
