Hello class. I am MrBill and this is the Weekend Qwiki Quiz.
Take your seats, clear your desk, and pull out that #2 pencil.
Since it's the weekend, we will make this quiz as qwiki as possible so you can get back to enjoying yourselves this weekend. Choose your answer carefully. Then write your essay for extra credit. And don't forget to check back on Tuesday for further discussion and your scores!
As many of you know from viewing my photos and reading some of the articles I have posted, that I am a "traveler! I have made short trips and epic journeys, and have tales to tell about them all. Several folks have asked if they could tag along, well here's your virtual chance to go on a journey! For this weekend's Qwiki Quiz I would like to share a little background information about my first epic journey around the world. Review the talking-points and then take the Weekend Qwiki Quiz.

A Journey of a Lifetime
!!! Priceless !!!
- The above journey took me literally 'round the world. It was a "solo" journey.
- I put the basics of the journey together in about 3 weeks, including getting my first passport.
- I left home with nine (9) one-way plane tickets. Not all planes departed from the same city as the previous plane had landed. I had to get from my arrival city of Auckland on the north island of New Zealand to Christchurch on the southern island by the seat of my pants to catch my next plane, which then took me to Sydney, but I would have to travel clear across Australia to catch the next plane out of Perth. I would eventually land in Istanbul Turkey but have to find my way up, across, and through Europe to reach London and catch that last plane back home to the States!
- For the most part no one was expecting me along the way, and I didn't know anyone until I got there. Except for 3 points of arrival near the end of this journey when I visited some friends I had made months earlier in the South Pacific and I finally visited their home countries in Europe.
- I pretty much only speak English and of the 26 countries, only three were English speaking.
- I rarely had an advance room reservation.
- The daily budget for this journey, somewhere to sleep, something to eat, some fun and games along the way (but not including the pre-paid airfare), was $35/day.
So tell me, if given the chance, would
you, could you, make such journey???
