The Power of the Spoken Word
Saturday, May 19, 2012 The Power of the Spoken Word Did you know that there is power in the words you speak out of your mouth whether good or bad? In says in the Bible that "Death and life is in the power of the tongue." (Proverbs 18:21) Oftentimes we get into the habit of complaining about our health or our circumstance and we wonder why we never seem to be able to feel better or see better results. The Bible also says "So shall My word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it." So, according to God's Word, we have to be careful what we say because it can literally mean life or death because we speak things into existance and when we speak God's Word out of our mouth it has to go forth and accomplish that for which it was sent and does NOT return void. If you believe that God is truth and He cannot lie then, when you confess His Words from scripture into your circumstance concerning your life, you will see the goodness of God. He cannot lie. That is Satan's job. So if you are stuggling with something in your life,start to write down what God says He will do for you and repeat and believe these things everyday. You will begin to understand the power of the spoken word.
