Big Cats Filmed in the Forest
Everyone has seen newspaper articles about the possibility of there being big cats living in the Forest of Dean or on Bodmin Moor, but thanks to a recent Freedom of Information Act request two sightings have actually been confirmed.
Mr Rob Guest, a park ranger in the Forest of Dean was conducting a deer census when he spotted a pair of large cats through his thermal imaging camera. He says, "I was driving at the time through the forest at night. The images showed up white on the thermal imaging equipment which registers body heat." He went on to say, "It may have just been one or two ranging over huge distances. The forest is fairly wild country anyway, so that may be the reason there were there. We weren't scared, but more interested and surprised."
Unfortunately the cats film was not recorded so there is no actual celluloid evidence of the sighting, but watch this space...
