How to Transfer Ps2 Games From Computer to Memory Card
The Sony PlayStation 2 is one of the last video game systems to rely heavily on an external memory card. This card contains all of your saved games from any video game played on the system (it is also possible to use many of the same PS2 memory card slots on the older, original PlayStation). Some gaming websites allow individuals to download saved games for specific games and load the games onto their memory card. Once on the memory card, it is possible to play the saved game loaded up to the card. Note that, of course, you must own the original game in order to load the saved game from the card. This is helpful if you are stuck at a particular part in the game, or want added bonuses to your play (such as more lives or better weapons). In order to use the downloaded information you must be able to upload the saved game data from a computer directly to a Sony PlayStation 2 memory card.Connect PlayStation 2 Memory CardPlug the USB data cable into the USB port on the side of the PS2 memory card adapter. This adapter looks just like a memory card (and functions like a PlayStation memory card), but it has a built in USB connection port, allowing you to hook it up to a computer. You can purchase this memory card adapter from most gaming stores and websites.Insert the opposite end of the USB cable into one of the USB ports on the computer. Momentarily the computer states it has detected a new, removable device.Transfer Save Game Files to PS2 Memory CardClick "Start," “My Computer” (or just “Computer,” if running Windows Vista or Windows 7) and double-click the removable device icon. A window appears with all of the saved game data stored on the memory card. The computer sees the PS2 memory card just as it does a USB flash drive or SD memory card.Click-and-drag the saved game data you have on the computer (the origin is going to depend on where you saved the files to) into the open window. A progress meter appears on the screen, showing you how long the file upload is going to take.Close out the open memory card window once the files have finished uploading to the memory card (the progress bar disappears when the process is complete), then right-click the removable card icon and choose "Eject." Once the icon disappears from the computer disconnect it from the computer. Plug the memory card into the memory card port on your PS2 and power the system on.
