Philippine Girls make Good Girl Friend
Philippines girls are among the nicest in the world. When I was in Delhi I had met a beautiful 26 year old girl from Manila at a seminar. Frankly she was very well informed and knew a lot about India. In contrast I didn’t know much about the Philippines except having heard of Cory Aquino and Marcos. One reason for this is the lack of traffic between Manila and Indian cities. There is also no direct flight from India to Manila. The Philippines do not form part of the Indian tourist circuit which embraces Honking, Bangkok and Singapore. I have never understood why.We became friends and travelled around Delhi in an auto rickshaw and saw the historical sites. After a few days she was to go back, but she made me promise I would come to the Philippines. “You will be my guest” she said.A month back I decided the time had come to visit Manila and accordingly made my booking via Bangkok. No direct flight and that is a pain. I landed in Manila; the airport is swanky and good. But I was waiting for my friend Imelda.I saw her and waved to her and believe me we kissed for the first time. That made me happy and it was 6 days of bliss seeing the Philippines. I see no reason why Manila should not be a part of the Indian tourist circuit. Hope things will change as India and the Philippines have a lot in common.
