The case for well head geo-thermal in St Kitts - Nevis

St. Kitts-Nevis has recently been in the news because it is proposing an electrical plant that is huge in comparison to it's population.  If the time isn't now to build a 100 megawatt plant for 50,000 people and export the electricity to neighbouring islands then this may be the time to go ahead a drill two or three holes.  The country on Kenya has embarked on this strategy because doing the holes one at a time and then putting a 6 megawatt generator from ormat on it allows them to go ahead and get some energy from the resource and to depreciate the hole and the equipment while getting rid of higher cost oil based electricity or making up for shortfalls from hydro-electric when it doesn't rain.  With well head generators the holes are already drilled when it becomes profitable to build a larger plant and the undersea cables it will take to sell electricity to Porto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands.  Saying no to geo-thermal because the export cost isn't good enough yet probably does not make sense
