Hosta Wheaton Blue

Hosta Wheaton Blue is a large sport ofHosta Paul’s Glory with a medium growth rate.  This mounding shade perennial grows to 26 inches high by 50 inches wide.  It is one of the few blue Hosta plants that are able to be grown in the sunlight.

 

This plant has a dark blue/green leaf with blue/green edges.  The leaves are ovate and are slightly wavy and they measure 10 inches long by 7 inches wide.

 

The flowers of Wheaton Blue are a pale lavender and are held high above the plant.  The flowers bloom from July to August.

 

This is a beautiful Hosta which looks good when combined with yellow Hosta plants or other lighter colored foliage or flowering plants.
