Don’t Down Grade Us Because We Are Disabled
Disabled people have the same rights as those who aren’t. We are able to work just like anybody else. Don’t turn us down just because we may look, walk or talk different we are able to do the same job as someone who is normal.
Although, you have a disability there is still hope for landing a job in today’s world. Work is essential to our lives. This means so much more than just a paycheck—it offers a purpose to life, independence, satisfaction and self-directed life for everybody and especially people with disabilities.
Many people with a disability also have skills and are able to pursue a meaningful career and they also play a very important role in America’s educational and financial success. In fact, experience persons with disability can and will offer a competitive edge when it comes to the employment world.
If you happen to have a disability, you are the one who should define your own limitations. High potential are essential to your success. There are organizations that exist that will be able to help you to seek employment, identify your goals and achieve the tools you may need to be productive on a job search, and comprehend all your rights and evaluated your ability, but not your disability.
Besides it’s your life that is at stake here, it’s what work you can do that really matters nothing else. You must learn all you can about the career that you want to pursue and then utilize your education to the best of your ability in order to successful in your job search.
