Here are what you need not to expect with your published articles online:
1. That it could make you money in quick minutes. Online article writing requires a lot of smart work or even hard work. And yes, it doesn't produce you money after you click the button publish,submit,done and what not . It takes time so it takes patience to wait. Whether you like it or not, if you really want to make money in article writing, you will have to do other else aside from writing your articles. And what am I trying to point out? 2. That it could be the best article in the world wide web. As much as you wanted to see your article in the front page of Google or Yahoo search results, most often than not, this doesn't happen. No matter how good you are in writing and promoting, there are writers who write better than you and there are people who do promoting their articles quicker than you. Yes, sometimes it happens, but would it be better if you just focus on writing quality articles than thinking of how your articles can outsell the others?
3.That I could write 100 articles in a day. Unless you're superman, you can. Unless somebody else write for you, you can. But would it be nice to focus on quality than quantity? Just an advice, don't rush things out. Focus on your writing and make it valuable for your readers.
4. That all my readers would love what I write. Like we always say, " we can't please everyone". There will come a time that you can read bad comments about your articles. Don't take it personally, this is the journey called life, and we become better by learning to take constructive criticisms in a good way, whether it hurts or not. All the words you will hear from other people can make you a better person in the end. So if you are a writer and read some not so nice comment about your work, moved on and find ways to improve more your skills in writing.
5. That all my articles will get thousands of pageviews after publishing it. Again I will say that it takes time to have an article be read by others. If it can't make you money the day you published it, it only means one thing, it does not create traffic overtime. Again, do your work, promote it, and find some effective ways to advertise your blog or articles.
Just to reiterate, article writing in the web is not a money making machine that can produce you traffic and money quicker like what you expect. It is hobby, do it because you like doing it not because you only want to make money from it. Build quality articles, market it in the web, and wait persistently. You will earn money from it that's for sure, but again it takes time.
