Choosing the best 26 LCD TV to buy can be tough. It's large enough that you want to have a good picture quality but it is small enough that you will be limited on features. For some people, a 26 inch HDTV will be their main television set and it will be put in the living room. Other people prefer their primary set to be 42 inches or larger and a 26 inch television is meant to be a secondary TV and put in the bedroom.

At this size you do want it to be high definition but it doesn't have to be full HD, which is 1080p. Instead, consider getting 720p. It will look just as good and no one would be able to tell the difference. If you are on a tight budget, you can also consider a definition of 480. It won't be quite as nice, but it is still better than what most of us grew up with and is fine for many types of programming.
