Is nature cruel
I know it is nature. Animals and some birds have to kill to eat and live. Sometimes you hate to see it though.
What I am thinking about right now are our squirrels. I love watching them. The cats love eating them. I know it is not being cruel; they are just doing what comes naturally to them. I still hate to see anything hurt.
I have not see a cat kill a squirrel, but have seen them eating them. I have seen this three times in the last year. More than likely there are several killed for each one I see dead. We still see squirrels around, but not too many come close to our home. Every now and then you see one eating acorns or eating sunflower seed under the bird feeder. They are beautiful, cute little animals.
I know that I'm a softy, but I still feel a little hurt every time I see it.
