I have a good friend who was recently divorced from a bad relationship in need of a car in New Jersey. There’s a web site that goes by votes to help people get a car and she could seriously use one.  Not to mention it just take a minute of your time to sign up and click vote – she would honestly appreciate it!

Her Story

Her ex has done nothing but give her a hard time and even mentioned some unspeakable things about her as well as their daughter. He won’t help them out, but luckily she does get court ordered child and some alimony, but it’s barely enough to cover her share of the bills. She is a single mom of a beautiful little girl who is currently 2 years old currently living back at home in a house with her mother and grandmother where her daughter and herself have to share a small room. They require her to pay way more than her share of bills, not just a bit on her part, but beyond what is reasonable, but without anywhere else to go she complies. So of course the money she gets from child support and alimony are going to that. It’s a cruddy situation to say the least. Before you suggest getting government housing she is on the list to receive it but in her area the waiting list is about 5-6 YEARS long. Her mother is JUST getting hers and most likely moving out, meaning her share of the bills are expected to get higher as per her grandmothers rules. Again, a cruddy situation. She was diagnosed with SLE Lupus in 2012 and needs to be monitored and have appointments every 3-4 months for her health. She also recently finished going to an IT school and got her A+ Certification to work on computers thanks to her states DVRS for helping people with illnesses and paying for her training. She is currerntly trying to find work, but there’s only one vehicle which is her moms and she’s about to move out the house – meaning she will not have access to a vehicle for her doctor appointments, job interviews, school or bring her daughter anywhere. Her grandmother works but her getting a job around that schedule is near impossible as she tried not to mention her family isn’t very supportive and won’t watch her daughter while she works. So she’s kind of in a lose/lose situation. She wants to better her life, get a job and be on her own but situation after situation keeps pushing her down and she’s getting down in the dumps because she has no money or way to better herself. A vehicle will make a HUGE difference in her life where she can make these interviews and appointments and hopefully from that point land a job and get on her own. She is stressed beyond I don’t know what. If anybody is deserving of something good happening it’s her which is why i’m asking anyone who can to pull together to take a few minutes to simply vote for her to get a car. The site will select the person with the most votes in each state to get a used vehichle from them.
