According to Oracle.com, detailed in its Consumer Views of Live Help Online 2012: A Global Perspective, consumers are browsing more and buying more products online.“Browsing becomes buying as 19 percent of consumers worldwide make at least one online purchase every week and 35 percent of consumers buy online every month,” highlights the research.The number of consumers who browse or “research” products online every day is 49 percent, which was only 26 percent in 2009. A different research indicates new and emerging behaviors are developing.The Temkin Group’s Media Use Benchmark (2013) shows that the US consumers spend an average of 0.9 hours reading books online and 1.4 hours a day reading news online. The data is gathered from a survey conducted in January, 2013, showing an upward trend in comparison to internet usage in the same period in 2012.
