I'm lucky enough to live on the outskirts of Jalón on the Costa Blanca in Spain. Jalón valley boasts beautiful scenery that ranges from rugged mountains to extensive plains. Along the valley floor, are olive, and citrus groves, hundreds of tiny vineyards, and so many almond trees you wouldn't believe it. I've even citrus, almond, three olive trees and a couple of vines in my own garden. Olive trees seem to crop up everywhere without warning. They are almost a weed around my property. I suppose I have to blame birds for seeding them.
