RedGage Tutorial: Uploading Content
Once you activate your RedGage account, you might want to start uploading content so that you can start making money! There are a few ways to upload your content to RedGage:
A) Use the Upload Bar to upload a single piece of content (a photo, a blog, a video, a link, or a document).

B) Use the Import Tool to copy your content from other websites and bring it to RedGage. If you already have a large amount of work on another website, this tool will be a major time saver!

The Upload Bar can be found on any RedGage page and you can use the Upload Bar while you navigate the website. So if you are writing a blog, for example, you can check your profile and you will not lose your work.

To upload content:
1) Choose which type of content you are uploading with the icons on the right side of the bar. The fields will change slightly depending on which type of content you select. Enter all of the information (title, tags, descriptions, etc). If you are wondering what you should put as a tag, check out the tutorial.
2) If you are uploading a photo, document, or video…
After you fill in the required information you can click the ‘Browse’ button to find the file on your computer that you are looking to upload. Once you pick the file, click upload. A red upload bar will display the status of the upload. Within a few moments you should see your content page!

If you are uploading a blog….
After you fill out the required information, you can choose to enter a track back link.
What is a trackback link?
The only field that is optional is the 'trackback link' when you are uploading a blog. A trackback link is used if you are referencing another person's blog. If you are writing about (or in response to) another blog or website, you can enter the link if you choose.
When you click ‘Continue’, a text edit box will appear and you will be able to enter text, html, and images. Use the upper right-hand corner to expand the text edit box and use the buttons to edit the formatting of your blog.
If you are uploading a link…
After you type or paste the URL to the link you want to upload, click ‘Continue’. Before your link is uploaded, you will be able to choose a thumbnail. Any available images from that website will appear and you will be able to pick the image you want to be the thumbnail with your post. You can always choose ‘No Image’ if there aren’t any to choose from and your thumbnail will just be text. When you have chosen an image, click upload and you are finished.

When does the import tool update? On the import page, the help says, "Next, your accounts will be synced with RedGage. This means that if you add content to any of the external websites it will automatically be imported to RedGage!" This hasn't happened yet and there are several Wordpress blogs and Twitter statuses that I written after I imported. The "Last Updated" column says "never."

I have been blogging on MySpace for over three years. May i repost all or some of my blogs here. Can these be imported from Myspace or do I have to copy/paste? I've just joined. Please advice.

Oh, one more question...:-) When I go to the screen where we can upload a photo to be used as a thumbnail on a link, it only shows me the photos at the very bottom of my "linked-to" page. How can I use a thumbnail of a photo that's closer to the top of the page?
