Facebook is Down
Yesterday some facebook users where unable to load facebook, seems a third party networking provider that was causing some users to have problems connecting to Facebook. Again today facebook is struggling to stay up this time due to what they claim as latency issues with its API on its developer site, but the problem is larger than that with many users tweeting about the outage. Servers encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to requests. Facebook “Like” buttons are down on across the Web.
A response to a written email was returned from facebook reading: “We’re currently experiencing some site issues causing Facebook to be slow or unavailable for some users. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. This is unrelated to yesterday’s outage.” A website known as DownRightNow reports that a "service disruption" is "likely." They have a graph of the sites traffic and it has clearly taken a slide.
Will this open up the doors for myspace to gain more revenue. I would believe so. One thing can be certain this topic is trending on other social communities across the web with many taking to tweeting about their fustrated attemp to connect with the site. I expect to see several ups and downs as tecnicians have to trobleshoot and restart the servers several times to workout the bugs in the coding.
