hey -- i've enjoyed two of your blogs thus far! not always stuff I agree with 100%, but I also enjoy rush limbaugh for the same reason -- so what can i say!

there is a book you might enjoy reading -- it's called American Gospel (before you stop reading.... trust me i'm not trying to convert you to some religion). the book is by a guy named Jon Meacham -- you seem very informed, so I'm gonna guess you know who he is (editor of Newsweek/Political pundit if you haven't heard of him). So anyways...back to this book: it's basically an analysis of the religious beliefs of the founding fathers and how they understood the importance of keeping personal beliefs separate from public leadership. In my opinion it should be required reading for everyone from atheists to zealots.
